Hello, I am Michael Steven Forrest and I am the Art Director for Wakeboarding Magazine. I believe in the power of design — that it is a vital asset to our existence and vital catalyst for true change in the world. From the introduction of a brand to the surface it lives on, I consider every angle a user may encounter with the work I create.
I have had the privilege of working with brands like Cheerios, The Washington Post, The MLS, The NBA, The WNBA, Six Flags, Verizon Wireless, Relevant Magazine, Zondervan Publishing, Thomas Nelson Publishing, and Samaritans Purse. I have had the privelege of working along side incredible designers and agencies including Michael Cina Associates and Zeus Jones of Minneapolis.
I am currently serving as the Art director for Wakeboarding Magazine for Bonnier Corporation.
With the support of my team, I have had the challenging opportunity of pushing the agazine's brand to a new level creatively and qualitatevly. My responsibilities include art direction, layout, custom typography, illustration, brand security, and digital/ web and app design.

Maven Creative is a leading full service creative firm in Orlando specializing in branding, traditional graphic design, advertising and digital design.
For more than two years I had the opportunity to work along some of the best branding designers in Orlando creating brands and solutions for companies big and small. My responsibilities included design lead, art direction, branding, print, packaging, web, app and digital design.
Relevant Magazine Lead Designer 2012 – 2013 –
RELEVANT is the leading platform covering faith, culture and intentional living. RELEVANT reaches 10 million twenty and thirty somethings every month through innovative digital and print media.
My roles there included ideation, layout, typography, art direction, brand security, and iPad magazine design.

Michael Cina Associates is an internationally recognized and award winning design agency led by Michael Cina of Minneapolis, Mn.
I was fortunate enough to intern twice and work with Cina Associates where I grew tremendously in my understanding and execution of form, layout, typography and design thinking.
